Measured metal width

Nominal G-rib covers 36" (3′). Measure center-rib to center-rib across your first panels — it works out the real coverage for THIS job so the cuts come out exact. The permanent panel size lives in Settings.

For the tablet at the roll former: the crew’s machine exports land here, the file saves for the machine, and the Import-completed button clears the way for the next one. The Walkie stays live full-time.

On by default: the app opens straight to the Walkie screen — tap the big button, talk, and pocket it. Everything else is still one tap away in the menu. Turn this off to open the app the normal way.

Per phone — set it once, it sticks. Only the TEXT grows: the page still fits your screen, so you never have to swipe sideways to read a cut list.

These are the machine values. They stay set while the app is open. Tap Save to apply.

Valley anatomy for the DRAWING: the center rib, and the reveal from the rib’s edge to the panel termination line (the chalk line all measurements run to). Never touches cut numbers.

Net machine adjustment: +0.375" (notch − machine offset)

Walkie settings

Get a notification with each message even while LIVE is on.

Checked = a ping with every message even while LIVE is playing them out loud. Unchecked = LIVE quiets the pings — messages just play. Either way, when LIVE is off, pings always come through no matter what — an end-of-day voice message never gets missed (and the ping says LIVE is off, so you know to ACTIVATE). Everything waits in Recents.

Which way does this layout run?

Direction is the crew's label — it never changes the cuts. But a saved list needs the honest answer.

Starting at the rake — add the half inch?

The tape hooked on the rake trim edge, but the first full piece sits ½″ in. Yes shifts the whole layout ½″ so it lands closer to true at the valley — the bottom check there trues it exactly.

Full pieces fill the straight bottom run (green line), then the cut table steps down into the valley. Length steps on the total panel width; Short pt is the other end of the same diagonal cut. Machine = length + net adjustment (notch − machine offset), in machine tenths. Change machine numbers under the gear ⚙.

Apex correction

From the under-rib reference of the last piece before the apex, over to the apex. Pre-filled with the calculated number — edit it to what you actually measure and everything from the apex on updates.

Last piece check (flat bottom)

Measure the diagonal off the previous piece; get the flat run and the rise where the cut starts.
