Crew code:

Everyone with the same code is one crew — sharing stays inside it.

Walkie on this phone — off = no voice pings or auto-play when you're not on the job

Machine Console Mode — this device feeds the machine

For the tablet at the roll former: the crew’s machine exports land here, the file saves for the machine, and the Import-completed button clears the way for the next one. The Walkie stays live full-time.

Open in Walkie mode — the app starts on the big talk button

On by default: the app opens straight to the Walkie screen — tap the big button, talk, and pocket it. Everything else is still one tap away in the menu. Turn this off to open the app the normal way.

Text size — zooms the whole app

Per phone — set it once, it sticks. Only the TEXT grows: the page still fits your screen, so you never have to swipe sideways to read a cut list.

These are the machine values. They stay set while the app is open. Tap Save to apply.

Each profile keeps its own numbers — switching never touches the other profile's settings.

How much longer (+) or shorter (−) the machine runs vs. the number you punch in. Example: machine runs ½" long → enter 0.5.

Notch depth (in)

Added to the machine input to account for the notch. Example: 0.875 for a ⅞" notch.

Valley center rib width (in) Panel setback from rib edge (in)

Valley anatomy for the DRAWING: the center rib, and the reveal from the rib’s edge to the panel termination line (the chalk line all measurements run to). Never touches cut numbers.

Ridge cap coverage per side (in)

Feeds the Ridge coverage left line on a valley summary — still in testing, so this box only shows with Beta features on. Display only; it never touches a cut number.

Pocket style — fold the top into the hip / ridge

On which jobs?

Either way, every cut list gets its own switch at the top, so one job can pocket the hip and leave the main ridge plain.

Pocket depth (in)

Extra metal for the fold at the TOP end — the end that runs into a hip or a ridge. Added to the machine number on top of the notch (the eave still folds too). The Length column stays the length on the roof.

Request a change / report a problem

Walkie

ACTIVATE sets up the mic, turns on live listening for the hours you pick, and plays anything you missed. While active, messages play out loud — screen off, phone locked, in your pocket — and the screen stays awake while the app is open, so your cut list is right there when you pull it out. Hold to talk. A conversation keeps both phones live for an hour past the last word. DEACTIVATE or the timer shuts it off; a call or another app can steal the sound — the status line under the button always tells the truth.

Hold the button, talk, let go — it lands on their phones in about a second.

Stay LIVE for

Headset PTT — the headset button starts a message and sends it

Hold — talk — let go to send. Slide your finger off to cancel.

Live mode — messages play out loud hands-free (through a headset too), and the screen stays on. Keep SSR Calc open and use it however you need. Only locking the phone or leaving the app drops it back to buzz-and-tap.

Notifications with LIVE

Get a notification with each message even while LIVE is on.

Checked = a ping with every message even while LIVE is playing them out loud. Unchecked = LIVE quiets the pings — messages just play. Either way, when LIVE is off, pings always come through no matter what — an end-of-day voice message never gets missed (and the ping says LIVE is off, so you know to ACTIVATE). Everything waits in Recents.

Which way does this layout run?

Direction is the crew's label — it never changes the cuts. But a saved list needs the honest answer.

Starting at the rake — add the half inch?

The tape hooked on the rake trim edge, but the first full piece sits ½″ in. Yes shifts the whole layout ½″ so it lands closer to true at the valley — the bottom check there trues it exactly.

Gable

Vertical 10.5″ boards up a gable. Enter the width, the pitch, and how high it starts at each corner — it lays the pieces out and gives you every length. Each piece over toward the peak is taller by the rise‑per‑piece. The peak is figured from the pitch; measure it and correct it if the rafters are off.

Cross-check — bottom edge to the peak

Enter the width & pitch and it figures the peak here. Measure it on the wall — if it’s off, type the real one and every board re-figures.

Peak not centered? Add one rake tape — optional

Cocked ridge, or one rake steeper than the other? Pull one tape up a rake — a bottom corner to the peak — and with the bottom-to-peak you already gave above, it locates the exact peak, no pitch guess. Leave blank for a centered peak.

Windows & openings

Add a window: how far in from the starting corner, its width, how high the sill is off the bottom, and its height. It marks the boards it lands on.

Full pieces fill the straight bottom run (green line), then the cut table steps down into the valley. Length steps on the total panel width; Short pt is the other end of the same diagonal cut. Machine = length + net adjustment (notch − machine offset), in machine tenths. Change machine numbers under the gear ⚙.
